What we collect

When you subscribe to The Digital Novice, we collect your email address. That's it for the free tier. If you upgrade to a paid subscription, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment details — we never see or store your card number ourselves.

How we use it

Your email address is used for one thing: sending you the newsletter. We don't sell it, rent it, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything you didn't sign up for.

Who handles your data

We use a small number of services to run this newsletter: Supabase stores our subscriber list, Resend delivers our emails, and Stripe processes payments for paid subscriptions. Each of these companies handles your data under their own privacy policies, and we've chosen them because they take that responsibility seriously.

Unsubscribing

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Click it and you're out — no hoops, no "are you sure" emails, no delay. Your address is marked unsubscribed and we stop sending immediately.

Cookies and tracking

Our website doesn't run advertising trackers. We use only what's needed to keep the site working, such as a session cookie if you log in to an account.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and note the new date at the top. This page is written in plain English on purpose — it is a good-faith description of our practices, not a substitute for legal advice.
